Windows 10: Error when am updating to Windows 10 Insider Preview 17735.1000 (rs5_release)

Hi,


Am experiencing problems when doing update with Windows 10 Insider Preview 17735.1000 (rs5_release). I downloads and prompts for a restart but after that am the update does not go to 100%. it stops at 61% then restarts again. I check and my version of windows still remains the same.


I have tried the following steps but it did not work for me:

• I have done the troubleshooting step provided in the site by using wu170509.diagcab to fix it but it does not work.

• I also tried doing the manual disabling of doing the net stop then renaming SoftwareDistribution but it still does not work
• Also tried restarting my machine couple of times and redoing the update but nothing happens.

What steps do you further recommended to get this sorted out?

• Which Intel drivers are you referring to?
• Are you referring to Intel drivers deployed through Windows Updates?
• Did you get any error message when they fail?

From your description, I suspect that the problem might be due to unsuccessful installation of preview build caused this issue. Suggest you to check installing the build again to see if the same thing happens again. If you don't see the

Windows Update still at 93% installation of Insider Preview 17723.1000 for a (too) long time ?

I just participated in Insider program on my Surface Book 2 and launched the windows update process.

After downloading and installing many software parts, it still blocked at 93% installation progress of Windows 10 Insider Preview 17723.1000 (rs5_Release). Is it normal ? It was too early to participate ?

 

I have the exact same problem as Eligio. (hangs at 61%) So this is not related to just my system. Have tried everything and have now spent two days on this nonsense. Clearly there are installation issues with this build. Im not going to waste anymore time on this as I need to get work done. Well done Microsoft!
