Windows 10: Error when restoring system Windows 10

I want to restore my computer, but when I try to use the built in function, it always cancells and I am back to square one.

I've seen threads with a similar issue, and some suggested that I finish the awaiting Windows Updates. The problem is that when I try to do that, they are stuck forever at awaiting download. I troubleshooted that problem, and got this: "Potential Windows update database error detected". I then looked at some more threads with this issue, and they suggested that I execute these commands in cmd as administrator:

net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
Ren C:\\Windows\\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Ren C:\\Windows\\System32\\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver


I did that but it still didn't let me download the Windows Updates. Some other threads suggested that i run these commands:

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /AnalyzeComponentStore

Which I did, and the "/AnalyzeComponentStore" command said "Number of Reclaimable Packages : 2 Component Store Cleanup Recommended : Yes".

But I don't really know what to do next. Is there another way to approach my issue with system restore other than trying to fix Windows Update?

Windows XP PRO error after restore

System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.

System restore error - can't open SR never mind use it?

Yes, I tried this too. Couldn't see the KB update in my list said to be guilty of this problem. Not that it matters, it would just force install it again anyway?
