Windows 10: Error while mounting ISO

I've tried a variety of methods to mount various ISO's (which are fine, I can open them in 7ZIP) and no dice.


The powershell method gives me an error message...


mount-diskimage -imagepath "X:\new build\DAW\NI Installers\cuba.iso"

mount-diskimage : The semaphore timeout period has expired.

This is a brand new Windows 10 install (1909 build 18363.535), everything is up to date. Antivirus is disabled.

The only thing unusual here is that it is dual boot.


Can anybody help please.

Error when mounting ISO files

I understand when you are trying to delete/rename/move the ISO files after mounting it you get an error message. It could be possible that the ISO file is mounted and that is the reason you are unable to modify it.



I suggest you to eject the ISO file and then try to modify it. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + E, to open
   File Explorer.
   
2. Click on This PC on the left pane, you will find the mounted ISO file.
   
3. Right click on the ISO file and click on Eject. Try modifying the ISO file now.

Error mounting .ISO files in Windows 10

• What other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Have you tried mounting the ISO files on another computer?
• Have you tried copying the ISO file to your desktop and mount it from there?
• Do you have a CD/DVD drive installed on your computer?

Error when mounting Image with Gmount-iso

Whenever i try to mount an iso image (636.6MB) in ubuntu 9.10 with Gmount-iso, I get this error:

An error occured
unexpected character `{', expected identifier

After this errror occures the image still mounts and i can see all the files, but i think it may have something to do with another problem i'm having with wine. I can't get any applications to work, even ones i have before.
