  1. Error with Windows Update and Microsoft Store

Hi moderators, I'm currently experiencing what I assume to be a common problem as shown below (Figure 1) with the error code (0x80070424) and I have no idea how to fix it. There also isn't an update history available which I'm not sure why.

In a succession of events, I've also noticed that I've lost control of my Microsoft Store as shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3. I only began to notice when nothing happens every time I tried to update the apps. There have also been other apps whereby an update is prompted and it leads me to the Microsoft Store but I'm instead greeted with the Figure 3 when I attempt an update. Refreshing the page then will only cause the Microsoft Store app to crash and relaunch. I've tried resetting Microsoft Store but it seems like I've caused more harm than good.

So currently I'm stuck unable to update my apps and also my Windows. I've tried to look for some help here like this but I'm unsure if I should attempt as I'm not even sure if it's the right solution for my problem. I've included a basic info of my system in Figure 4 if it helps.

Can anyone help me out with this? Thank you in advance.

  3. Microsoft signals end of Paint program

Microsoft has confirmed that it will continue to offer its graphics program Paint.

In a recent update, it had listed Paint as a feature that would be either removed or no longer developed.

Paint, renowned for its simplicity, has been part of the Windows operating system since its launch in 1985.

Microsoft suggested it would not remain on Windows 10 by default but did say it would be available for free on the Windows Store.
