Windows 10: eSIM: Full manageability for mobile data on PC

For frontline workers struggling with potentially insecure Wi-Fi hotspots, the convenience and security of always connected LTE are compelling. But perhaps less immediately obvious are the benefits of embedded SIM (eSIM) in LTE devices, not only for large enterprise customers but for smaller and medium-sized business too.

eSIM provides the same experience as a physical SIM card — such as access point and IMEI numbers to connect and validate your device — but without the compromises of a standalone card. When you hand out physical SIM cards to employees, you essentially give up control over how the data gets used. You can't tell whether they’re used in devices provisioned by the enterprise, gifted to a family member, or simply sold to the highest bidder.

Managing eSIM devices in the Enterprise

Many enterprise customers are already using System Center Configuration Manager for desktop and a mobile device management solution (MDM) for mobile phones. Now with remote eSIM provisioning, IT admins and procurement managers can manage all their corporate devices and data subscriptions directly from familiar MDM tools like Intune. Intune replaces physical SIM cards with metadata — typically contained in a CSV file — that then can be distributed to target users or used to manage profiles customized for a specific geographic region or functional role. Intel to Bring 5G to Mobile PCs by 2019

Today, Intel announced it is collaborating with Dell, HP, Lenovo and Microsoft to bring 5G connectivity to Windows PCs with Intel XMM 8000 series commercial 5G modems. Intel expects the first high-performing 5G-connected PCs to surface in the market in the second half of 2019.

Mobile World Congress (MWC) attendees will get a first sneak peek at a concept 5G-connected PC - a detachable 2 in 1 - connected by an early 5G modem and powered by 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processors. At MWC, Intel will showcase the power of 5G on a PC by livestreaming video over the 5G network. This concept is one of many stepping stones for moving the industry forward in what's possible for 5G-enabled PCs.

5G is not just another generation of wireless connectivity. It promises new opportunities for technology innovation across the computing and connectivity landscape from the cloud to the network and the client.

The PC is a central hub for processing incredible amounts of data. 5G is coming. Not only will it bring a substantial amount of data needing processing but also new experiences for PC owners. Imagine immersing in untethered VR from anywhere in the world, or downloading a 250 megabyte file in seconds from a parking lot. There are no more files and ASUS Data Security Manager

I've been having the same issues trying to save files.

I followed all of the steps but ASUS Data Security Manager keeps reappearing. How do I really get it to delete? I've done the uninstall four times and it just pops back in the list.
