Windows 10: Essential Windows Update Questions - Manual Win10 Updates e.g. from ver. 1709 to ver. 2004...

Dear Developers and Experts,

Here a few essential questions - also for other Windows users that like manual updates:

1. How can I manually update Win10 e.g. from ver. 1709 to 2004? Which KB update files up to several hundred MB, each exactly do I have to install andhow do I find them? On https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/ I can only search for the KB files...

2. On the catalogue update site mentioned above I receive an error message when clicking on download that "The website has encountered a problem[Error number:8DDD0010] "! Why? How can I avoid it? Is there another download site?

3. Can I also install the Win10 ver. 2004 ISO file ~5 GB instead on https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO, which says "available for users with devices running Windows 10, versions 1903 and 1909",even I am on ver. 1709 ? Ort do I need which? 2 ISO files first update to 1903 and then to 2004?

4. How can I manually just update a single Win10 system program such as "File Explorer" or "Firewall" or "Task Manager"? Where do I find the right KBs? see 1., 2.. Also I couldn't findKB update resources for Office 2019!?

5. When updating with KBs or ISOs, how can I make sure, Windows doesn't automatically overwrite the master boot record MBR and therebydeletes Veracrypt encryption and other files or reverses all manual system settingsdone before disabling of components in registry etc.?

B.t.w. I discovered a while ago that a Windows automatic update deleted files that it thinks is malware just as "CPU-Z", which is a useful program to extract system information...that actually encouraged me to disable/uninstall "Windows Update" as well as other telemetric/diagnostic and for me almost useless and resource wasting components of Windows such as "MS store", "Defender", "Cortana" etc. manually registry or with "Windows Privacy Tools" and "Destroy Windows Spying". After debloating the Windows system my computer runs faster than ever - even a new one, which can save a lot of money :-and it is somewhat easy to debloat, but installing updates seems to be hell in Windows... Updating and uninstalling/disabling single components of the system and respecting user privacy by giving full control / transparency over system/user data stored or transmitted secretely to MS servers, should be much easier and user friendly...

How do I updat my new surface pro to newest windows 10 ver.2004? I've tried to used the windows update program, But it showed I'm already the newest ver. ( 1903 ) ?
