Windows 10: Establishing secure connection loads https pages very slow in any browser in fresh Win10...

Could anybody please let me know how to manually fix this problem, which I have been experiencing ever since I have installed fresh Win10 Home HUN installation. Any browser I have (Chrome, MS Edge) takes ages to display any https web page.


When I manually stop the cryptographic service (CryptSvc) in Task Manager, the problem disappears and https pages download fast.


May I set this service to never run automatically, or is there another safer solution, please?

Chrome is stuck at "establishing secure connection..." on all pages

I've actually also had this very annoying issue with google chrome for a long time,
coz im lazy i've just accepted the slow loading times and i guess i got use to it...
Well up untill a few days ago, i got fed up, normal sites i usually visit took over 1-3 min to load =S

So i did a cupple of things to fix this issue.

1. Disabled TLS 1.3 in " chrome://flags "




2. Disabled Encrypt connections scanning in Kaspersky Antivirus @
settings > Additional > Network > Do not Scan encrypt connections




3. In Services > Cryptographic Services > Log On > Made sure that Log on as: Local system account is ticked and not This account.




4. In regedit > Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\Root\ProtectedRoots
I first backed up ProtectedRoots & Root to my desktop, after i took control of ProtectedRoots & deleted it, after that i deleted Root.

5. Restarted.
Once restarted, i checked my regedit again and Root is back with Certificates,CRLs,CTLs.
But ProtectedRoots is missing, however no issues tho even if it's gone




After this i have not had any issues at all with establishing secure connection in google chrome,
everything loads instant now as it should.

So I ran all four commands, one at a time, with a restart in-between. Nothing has changed that I've noticed, except that some of my favorited URLs seem to load, while others will show up while still showing "establishing secure connection...", most still don't load at all. If I want to go to another page in this scenario, I have to stop loading the current page and then tell Chrome to go to the new page. I haven't tried installing Chrome on Windows 7 yet, I was about to go do that. I did however, get this response while running the netsh int ip reset command. Is it normal to have one of those lines say failed and then access denied?

 

Asus RT-N53 - HTTP slow/failure to display pages

Okay, another troubleshoot/network problem now.

For some reason HTTP/browsing seems to be having problems on my PC, I am connected via ethernet and it is either really slow to load pages (or not loading pages correctly) or displaying this page can not be displayed.

It's across multiple browsers
It's not dropping connection/sync
Other things (ie downloads) are not affected

It does seem to only be browsing/HTTP traffic... any idea on what it may be?
