  2. Hyper-V VMs physically on separate subnets - howto

I'm setting up Windows Server 2016 Standard.

My objective is to have 2 VMs that are connected into their own subnet for a testbed.

I've read about the internal switches, etc. but don't see how to make a physical connection to each of the subnets AND be independent.

(Perhaps the testbed objectives are a bit different than a typical production network).

I am imagining adding a couple of NICs so there will be:

A NIC for the Hyper-V manager.

A NIC for each of the subnets.

  3. How to route between two subnets in Windows 10 Hyper-V VMs?

    Hi All,

I had installed Hyper-V feature in my Windows 10 laptop. Next i create 2 VMs (W2k12R2) with each VM using different subnet.

    VM1 - 192.168.1.0/24

    VM2 - 192.168.2.0/24

Objective: As the subnets are different, I want both VMs to communicate with each other. Hoping any of you can help to achieve my objective.

    Look forward to your help...
