Windows 10: Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration (Realtek)

My new gaming computer that I built on January 8, 2019 is constantly getting "Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration" after Windows 10 Home Full Version update. My ONLY solution is to go back to a restore point. Microsoft asked that I get a working internet connect so that they can take control and "fix" the issue. In order to get a working internet connect, I have to restore to a previous date. Twice now, Microsoft technical support has taken control of my computer and has done 2 different solutions and in each case has stated that my problem is now fixed. Obviously that is not correct. Their solutions were to enter 8888 and 8800 (I think) into and address box and the second was to check an unchecked box in the Realtek list of items, both of which I had already tried from reading on the internet.


This problem has occurred 7 or 8 time since I built my computer. The failure has always occurred with a restart of my computer and a windows update pending. I have a Realtek LAN card and my most recent "fix" by myself was to update to a January 2019 software version. I really thought that was the fix until last night. My motherboard manufacturer MSI said that there website only had the November 2018 Realtek updated software and they were the ones that told me that Realtek had a newer version and I should be able to find it on the internet. They were not confident that it would fix my problem and have received calls about the same issue.


This is obviously getting old and I am now hesitant to restart my computer until I know I will not be using it for a few hours. The restore point takes 30 minutes. Does anybody have solutions OTHER than the typical you find on the internet. Is this just a Microsoft problem that I have to live with from now on until they find a cure?
