Windows 10: Ethernet Issues (ERR_SSL_VERSION_INTERFERENCE)

Hello, I'm writing this about an issue my PC seems to be having connecting to the internet via an ethernet cord.

Yesterday I was editing files online via a free audio editor when in the middle of my work, my internet decided to cut out. When I turned off the computer, upon rebooting, an "Uh oh windows crashed" message appeared. It's happened before without issue, so i thought I'd leave it for a few hours and come back.

The issue wasnt resolved and whenever I tried to connect to the internet via Google Chrome the error ERR_SSL_VERSION_INTERFERENCE occured. I've tried everything I could find online regarding this error, from flushing the IP to reinstalling the network driver, and even uninstalling the last windows update. A collective 7 hours later and I'm still stuck.


Now the odd thing is that whenever I unplugged then replugged the Ethernet cable, the internet would connect for 5 seconds then return to that error.

Another odd thing is that whenever I check the status of the ethernet, it says it's sending and recieving information, one time i wad recieving almost 3 million bytes of info and sending 300,000 bytes, so I'm thinking it may be a setting that got flipped with the crash.

Any help is appreciated and if you need any other info, I'd be happy to oblige.

  If the end of RJ45 (Ethernet cord) is still intact.

  If available, test the RJ45 (Ethernet cord) to your other device and check if issue persists.

Ethernet connection issues

This issue might happen if the power saver option is set.

I suggest you to follow the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Press Windows Key + X key and click on
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Expand Network Adapters.
  
• 
  Right-click on the Network Adapter listed and click on
  Properties.
  
• 
  Click on Power Management tab.
  
• 
  Uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power box and click on
  Ok.
  
• 
  Restart the computer and check if the issue is resolved.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
