Ethernet not working after using recovery drive

I can see why someone thought my two threads should be combined but I was actually trying to figure out two separate things. I get that realtek should work fine on windows 10 with everything in place. My main question from first thread was where/how to find out which drivers would come with windows 10 if you were installing it on a newly wiped drive.

I ask this because I will not be able to use other usb/hdd to transfer drivers to the clean install so I want to be sure it comes with ethernet driver before I do it.

As for the second thread I figured it out.

For Realtek Gigabit LAN adapters, the correct driver is at 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet -> PCI Express. To make sure, use Aida64 to see the exact model.

if your current OS is windows 10 and you are wanting to clean install windows 10 on that PC..
You can Export the current drivers from that Windows 10 OS - for use after the reinstallation of windows 10

    from command prompt(admin)
    type> md c:\Drivers
    type> Dism /online /Export-Driver /Destination:C:\Drivers

Copy the C:\Drivers Folder to a USB
Once you reinstall the OS - if the needed driver is not present within OS
You can use Device Manager and point to the Drivers folder on the USB
Dm should find and install the needed driver(s) from the prior OS

DriverView: Loaded Windows Drivers List will show all your drivers. From this the ones where product name = "Microsoft® Windows® Operating System" are supplied by Windows. The others you (or your OEM) added.

he is looking to find out what drivers are included in the windows image (install.wim)

He would have to mount the image and then run

    Dism /Image:X:\mount /Get-Drivers
(X:\mount - being the location of the mounted image)
