Windows 10: Ethernet says unidentified on start up

So first, I have rogers wifi, and also a rogers extender pod upstairs. I have connected a cable from the main router to the pod, then another cable from the pod to my pc. now on startup, i only get 2 bars of wifi and the ethernet part says unidentified. Every time i trouble shoot it, after it identfies the problem, my ethernet starts working. it shows the wifi name and shows connected. The problem is something about hotspot something, I dont really understand it.I am using windows 10. Anybody know the reason? I can follow up with what the trouble shooter shows.

Thanks for replying. However, none of the steps have helped me. My ethernet still is "unidentified." I've tried plugging my cable into another pc and it works fine. Is there anything else I can do?
