Windows 10: Even more duplicate drives.

Hi,


When I had Chromebook Recovery Utility on, My laptop crashed.(BSOD)

Thats the main point. But here's the real problem.


Once "Google" said the app would erase the USB drive, It didint. So it said "Unable to partition USB drive." (Or something like that.)

After that windows was spamming messages like:


Format: Drive: A (Thats normal)

Format: Drive: B

Format Drive: D


And so on into the alphabet (But not Drive C)


On separate windows.

After Drive: S, Windows 10 had enough and crashed.


That was when I put the USB drive on a separate port. The port I connected earlier did the same thing but didint crash.


I don't think its Google's fault but ill just contact them anyway.

Duplicate drive listed in explorer.


I had read some good tutorials on how to remove unwanted items from the side explorer navigation pane and was interested if someone knows how to remove a duplicate of a drive showing up?

Here is what I am dealing with:





The duplicate listing of Drive F: which is a USB Flash drive is not necessary and I would like to remove one of them.

Any ideas?

I'll give it a go and find out.

It appears that the drives listed under "This PC" are not considered duplicate listings and the reg file does not have any effect on those listings.

So imperially or practically, I guess I don't really have a duplicate listing of the drive unless the branch of "This PC" is expanded.
