    Event Error ID: 2505 "The server could not bind to the transport...."


    Has anyone else ever gotten this error before or have seen something like it? Every so often I notice it come up in my Event Viewer, usually 3 in a row, but not sure what is triggering them and why. Each one's trailing ID is different in the path it's saying is coming up with this error. And, yes, I've tried googling it. I'm not really getting anything similar to what mine is specifically saying unless I'm overlooking it.Any info is appreciated.Thank you

    I'm getting connection errors as well. Event ID 2505.
    Says couldn't bind to transport device NetBT_Tcpip because another computer on the network has the same name. The server could not start.

    I am certain nothing has changed and Fing does not show two with same name.

    Puzzling.

    "CHKDSK C: /F" Deletes hidden feature configuration.

    Updated fine. Good to see the 'torn write errors' gone.

    But still getting error ID 2505 The server could not bind to the transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{439B401A-2133-4ECB-8371-F91D1A11293B} because another computer on the network has the same name. The server could not start.

    They occur when machine wakes from sleep. I don't have another comp with same name. Ethernet device has power setting don't let comp turn off pwr.

    Anyone else seeing this?
