Event ID 41, please help me!

    Hi all,

I have googled and gone through all the steps as recommended online to try and solve this error but nothing seems to work. I recently built a new PC kept the same SSD drives.

    Computer Specs

    OS: Window 10 Home

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x

    Ram: G.Skill RipjawsV Series 32GB 2x16GB DDR4 3600Mhz CL19

    Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Ultra
GPU: Gigabyte Geforce RTX 2070 Super Windforce OC

AIO: EVGA CLC 360mm All-In-One RGB LED CPU Liquid Cooler

    PSU: Gigabyte GP-B700H 700W ATX12V

SSD1 with OS: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 1TB

    SSD2: Crucial MX300 1TB

External HD: WD 2021 ext HDD 1 TB

    History:

I put the PC together and first, did not do a clean install of Windows to see if the swapping the SSD's to see how the new system would work without a clean install. I was be able to be on my computer, game, surf the net, watch youtube and all was fine. Everything appeared to be fine for about 2 or 3 days and I noticed one morning my computer had rebooted overnight. I thought nothing of it. Later that day, after leaving my computer for about an hour, I returned and noticed the computer had restarted again.

I check Event Viewer and low and behold Event ID 41 is coming up.

Here's what I've tried to solve this issue:

    1. Changed power settings as recommended
    2. Updated all drivers
    3. Turned off Fast Startup
    4. Double checked all hardware components for correct installation
    5. Fresh install on windows on my Samsung SSD 850 EVO
    6. Triple checked all hardware components for correct installation

Here is the latest details under the Event Properties:

    Here's what I noticed:

    • I have never experienced a reboot or shutdown while I have been actively working or using the computer.
    • Prior to doing a fresh install of Windows, the Event Viewer was bringing up the same debug codes always.

I was hopefully thinking this was a firmware issue but I am more and more beginning to think this is a hardware issue since this same problem is occuring after the clean install of windows. Please note, I did not wipe my secondary SSD and external hardrive. If anyone can please help me solve this, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    :)

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

In-order to get more clarity on this issue and to assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps, reply with answers to the below questions:

    1. Are you aware of any changes made on your PC, prior to this issue?
    2. Is this issue specific while playing a particular game?
    3. Which edition of Windows are you currently using?

A Kernel Power Event 41 can occur in the following scenarios.

Scenario 1: The computer restarts, and there is a Stop error BugcheckCode in the event data.

Scenario 2: The computer is shut down by pressing and holding the power button.

Scenario 3: The system randomly restarts and no Stop error BugcheckCode is listed, or the computer is completely unresponsive (hard hang).

I suggest you refer the article on Kernel
