Have this recurring problem....as can be seen on attachments below.
On pressing on switch light shines for 20 seconds then turns itself off without loading Windows.....this I have to do several times before getting any reaction
Have performed chkdsk /f C: and checked memory....finding no faults
    Event Viewer reveals the following....

Windows 10 crashes and looks of OS in network

This is the event I'm getting in the event log: though it doesn't seem to add any new information:

    Event ID: 41

    Task Category (63)

    Level: critical

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly

Dell XPS laptop crashes if mains power removed but battery 100% full and "healthy"

Thanks for your reply, but I still have the problem.

I changed the power setting to 'Balanced' and the troubleshooter didn't find any problems.

I think the Kernel Power Event ID 41, Task Category 63 I have in the Event Log is the key to solving this.

I found a similar thread at
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/kernel-power-event-id-41-task63/b42b03a7-f3c5-4276-940c-f094608c7a5c

on this form, but that didn't seem to find a solution either.

You could either send it by zipping it, or click on it, to open in your browser, right click select all, and copy it, then use the code tags: # in the forums editor then paste it in.

Here is an example of mine.
I use code tags instead of quote so it puts it in a scrolling box and saves room on the page-

I think I have stumbled upon what might have caused this problem, Windows audio endpoint builder still running.
Prefetch being overloaded....over 300 entries, many cross referencing. have deleted most as they are supposed to be restricted to max 128 entries, see att
Everything is loading much faster.....lets hope that solves this problem....fingers crossed.

If ending the windows audio endpoint builder is not the solution or it returns.

I notice that you are using the balanced power settings. This is the recommend setting by windows.

But you could change the power settings to high performance and see if this helps with your power problems.
Or you could even made a customized powerplan.

For more info and steps see How to disable power management settings in Windows | WD Support

Use the edit button of your post (the post with the report)

    I would use keyboard shortcuts/hotkey

( put with mouse cursor before your text)
    1. ctrl and A
    2. ctrl and X
    3. click on #
    4. ctrl and V
