    event viewer error ID1000 UpdateAssistance.exe

Hi, looking at event viewer errors from new 1809 I noticed this error every day 10:30
Faulting application name: UpdateAssistant.exe, version: 10.0.14393.10022, time stamp: 0x5aa20093
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.17763.1, time stamp: 0xa369e897
    Exception code: 0xc0000409
    Fault offset: 0x000000000008f10f
    Faulting process id: 0x91c
    Faulting application start time: 0x01d45d83cf299988
    Faulting application path: C:\WINDOWS\UpdateAssistant\UpdateAssistant.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
    Report Id: 0be905f0-64cb-418f-8a74-4aaa9f143fdd
    Faulting package full name:
    Faulting package-relative application ID:

Now looking deeper I found two folders in window (C:\Windows\UpdateAssistant and C:\Windows\UpdateAssistantV2 (this one empty)).
I also noticed 3 task schedules in windows UpdateOrchestrator
1)UpdateAssistance, ready, multiple triggers, log on,
    2)UpdateAssistanceCalendarRun, ready, Trigger 10:30AM everyday,
    2)UpdateAssistanceWakeupRun, ready, trigger 1:00AM everyday.

So the UpdateAssistance.exe in Windows\UpdateAssistance folder is version 10.0.14393.10022 so this is a really old windows version. I think I used Update Assistance once when WU didn't give me the upgrade.

So it looks like disabling the one task schedule at 10:30 would stop the error but now I wonder if anyone knows is it safe to just disable all three of those tasks and remove the UpdateAssistance folder from windows.

I am not 100% if it is used by any other part of windows that would affect normal WU from working.

PS: I have nothing listed in Installed program files or any old upgrade folders in C:\

    :)

ATi Tool error in Event Viewer

I uninstalled ATI Tool about a month ago, yet there are still ATI Tool related error messages sprinkled throughout my Event Viewer. This is what the error is:

"The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
    ATITool"

Why is it there? Has ATI Tool not uninstalled correctly? *Bang Head :banghead:

    Help please.
