    Every Third Boot BSOD Clean Install


    I used a boot USB which has multiple tests for testing hardware. It is something someone made for me when I was in the IT trade in early 2000. It is extremely reliable. Never ran into an issue. Everything looks healthy. I even ran stress tests and okay. No crashes.

    I tried running just Linux and everything ran. There were no hiccups. I obviously need Windows for some things.

    The temperature is not in thermal throttle zone.

    What is this 'something' that is on the USB? what tests does it contain?

    It has tests for HDD, RAM, CPU etc.

    We can help you, but not knowing what tests have been run we don't know what exactly has been tested. Many tests approach hardware testing differently, the results, as such, may differ from other tests.

    That there are tests performed for the drives, ram, cpu and other parts is good to know, but it does not answer the question what tests were performed or by what program.

    I tested the hardware and it is all healthy. The fact that I can edit photos on Linux and reboot without issue means my hardware is not busted.

    I cannot get past the BSOD after a third restart. This is my issue. I want help overcoming this. All I want is a solution to an issue which I have given far more information than needed.

    When you next clean install windows make sure you immediately add an option to the boot menu to boot into safe mode. This should help when you come to the third restart and give you a work around to get into safe mode.

    Again, not true. The Linux kernel works different than the Windows kernel.

    Just mark this as solved. Laptop will be burried thanks to broken updates for Windows 10. No help whatsoever.
