    Every time I install a file windows saves it as a word document


    Every time I install a file it turns into a word document and I do not understand why because it has happened before on different websites and I have seen a friend install the same files that im installing and it turns out fine. i think it has to do with the windows 11 but I dont really know because this is really starting to irritate me. Thank you for your time

    Use 'Save as' and choose from the list of options.

    How to have Word auto-suggest document title when "save as"?

    It's not actually an option in Word's settings, but you may have disabled it by adding a Title, either for the document or in the document template. Details from the How-To Geek here...
