    Excel and Word now show as Unlicensed Product


    After one of the most recent Windows updates, I've lost licensing to Excel and Word. They appear with Unlicensed Product behind the program name. For about a month I was still able to make and save changes, but now I am unable to key into either program. I use Excel to keep track of my home business. These programs were installed on the laptop when I purchased it and I am unable to find the Product Key. How do I get full access to these programs again?

    Unlicensed Product

    I bought new HP laptop from online with in built windows. But I'm unable to create any Microsoft office products such as excel, word or PowerPoint. For example when I opened an excel it displays at the top Excel (unlicensed product) and when I clicked it
    is asking for product key.

    The machines detects the operating system installed is Windows 10 Home Single Language 64-bit. I also didn't find any sticker in my laptop.

    Let me know whether this OS doesn't have the office inbuilt. And advise I how can this be resolved.

    Please try the Activation troubleshooting steps on this page:

    If that does not resolve this for you, follow these steps to perform a full repair of your Office installation . . .

    Open Control Panel - Programs and Features

    Click Microsoft Office in the list of installed applications

    At the top, click 'Change'

    On the resulting dialog, click 'Repair' - choose the Online Repair, it is a comprehensive fix

    That should fix any issues with your Office Installation . . .

    greetings, my ofc 360 is paid thru jan 2019, but word opens but won't let me do anything and the top margin says unlicensed. excell works fine. any suggestions?
