Discus and support Excel errors on Windows 10 Home using Office pro 2019 in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I have a Excel xlsm file which open fine on Windows 10 enterprise using Excel 2016, but when I open it on my personal laptop which has Windows 10 Home...     Excel errors on Windows 10 Home using Office pro 2019


    I have a Excel xlsm file which open fine on Windows 10 enterprise using Excel 2016, but when I open it on my personal laptop which has Windows 10 Home using Excel 2019 it produces errors on loading and does not run the code.


    I have tried to change trust centre settings and run compatibility mode, which I did not have to do on the system which opened o.k. Does anyone know how to fix it?

    Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.

Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

    • Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
    • Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
      • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
      • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
      • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
    • The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

    Microsoft Office 2019 Will Run on Windows 10, and Only Windows 10

    Office 2016 is supported on all current O/S's until 2025. So, 7 years is plenty of time to phase out all of their previous O/S's. I doubt there would ever be much need to run Office 2019 on a non-Windows 10 computer.

    Microsoft Office 2019 Will Run on Windows 10, and Only Windows 10

    How is this news or surprising to anyone?
    Especially when there are viable and arguably better open-source alternatives out there.. For those of us who don't use Microsoft Office, this isn't a problem.
