Windows 10: Excel file open in shared folder in a local very slow

Hi MS supoport,Files in shared folder in local network file especially excel is very slow. Other file formats in the local network no issue.Had tried to open in excel in normal folder also no issue. All the user has been given the access right accordingly.Can help to advice what show we do to check on the local network shared folder?

Files in shared folder in local network file especially excel is very slow. Other file formats in the local network no issue.

Excel files only open/save slow on network share

• Opening any Excel file, even an empty Excel file from any network share located on any machine on this domain network results in slow performance. When opening a file, Excel will state: "Downloading: <path name>", then will say "Processing...", then will
  say "Opening: <path name>", then will say "Processing...", and then finally opens. Once open the file performs normally.
  
• The Save process is equally slow for any Excel file saving to a Network Share
• Opening these same files locally on any machine is fast.
• Opening any other file type on these shares is fast, including Word, pdf, jpg, etc. of much larger size than the Excel files.
  
• The slow performance is seen on all machines on the network.

It seems like this would be a network issue but I'm not sure where to start. Again it only affects Excel files, nothing else. But it affects all Excel files.

Some machines here are Windows 7 running Office 2010, but the same slow behavior is seen on Windows 10 machines running Office 365.

 

Office 2016 applications open/save slow on network share - Local is fast

• Opening any Office 2016 file from any network share located on any machine on this domain network results in slow performance. When opening a file, Office 2016 applications will state: "Downloading: <path name>" 0%, then will say "Processing..." after
  35 seconds, and then finally opens. Once open the file performs normally.
• The Save process is equally slow for any Office 2016 application file saving to a Network Share
• Opening these same files locally on any machine is fast.
• Opening any other file type on these shares is fast, including pdf, jpg, etc. of much larger size than the Office 2016 application files.
• The slow performance is seen on all machines on the network.

A default printer is selected. No security update or audio driver is causing this issue from what I can tell.

Issues happens even with antivirus uninstalled on server and client.

This even happens on a fresh install v1909 Windows 10 with Office 2016.

I saw some posts about Excel/Word.Sheet.16, etc. Don't have that. Just 12, 8, and 6.

Similar issue as Redirecting

I don't mind waiting 35 seconds for the files to open, however, accounting does.
