Windows 10: Excel jumplist entries won't stay pinned

I have moved my OneDrive folder from its default location to D:
In my Excel recent files list I sometimes see two entries for a file
One has the path D:\OneDrive etc and the filename includes the file extension
The other has the path https://d.docs.live.net etc and does not include the file extension
If I pin a recent file like D:\OneDrive etc then subsequently click the pinned file it disappears from the pinned list!
This doesn't happen for a recent file like https://d.docs.live.net etc
This does not occur for at least Word or Visio
What if any is the consequence of opening a recent file like https://d.docs.live.net etc?
Why are such files showing in the recent files jumplist, what are they and why are they missing the file extension?

Jumplist items on Excel is different from number set on Windows 10

I initially posted this question on Excel / Windows 10 / Office 365 for business forum and was suggested to post the question here.

I have Windows 10 and O365 for business. I like to pin my most used Excel files on the jump list. I have gone into regedit and added the dword JumpListItems_Maximum to increase the number of jumplist to 30. This works for explorer. But, on Excel, the jumplist
item is limiting to 17 pinned items and 2 recent items. New excel files I opened is not showing under recent items. I can't pin more items to the jump list. Is there another jumplist control for Excel? I have tried updating the Excel display options in case
it affects the jumplist. It didn't.

 

Windows 10 JumpList bug - Can't delete linked content on SharePoint

After upgrading to Windows 10 Pro I can't delete entries in JumpLists of programs like Excel, Word, PowerPoint if the entry is a link to a file on SharePoint. The only option available for such entries on right click is Open. For local files there are
9 options available including both Remove/Pin to List.

 

Jumplist problem

When I right-click on a pinned item on a taskbar Jumplist and the file is unavailable the item cannot be "Unpinned from the list", nor can the item be deleted from the jumplist. I first noticed this when the February update that borked my USB mouse. A
lot of the items in the jumplist did not come up on the screen when I clicked on them but when I found the file and clicked on the file in it's containing folder opening the file up then clicking on the jumplist entry of the file would work again. It seems
that I must have deleted the files in the folder but the jumplst entry of the file is borked and the file cannot be removed from the jumplist, but if the file does exist in a folder, opening it up in the folder fixes the jumplist entry so it will work again.

Any ideas?
