  3. User Account Control for Exchange ActiveSync Policies Broker

    Hi John,

Welcome to Microsoft Community. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Exchange ActiveSync policies are applied to a machine, they remain even after the mailboxes that required the policies are removed. This is because you could have multiple mailboxes that required the policies. The good news is the policies can be reset using
    the following actions:

    • Open the desktop control panel (Start the desktop, then select the Settings charm and select Control Panel).
    • Open the User Accounts control panel applet.
    • Click the Reset Security Policies link in the left hand navigation menu at the bottom and click Reset Policies in the displayed
    • The ActiveSync enforced policies have now been disabled.
Note that if you reset the policies and still have the mailboxes configured, within a day the Exchange server will notice you turned off their policy and ask you to enable it again to resume access to the mailbox.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Guru Kiran

Pop up for allow access by "Exchange ActiveSync Policies Broker"

    Hi KRobertson1,

Exchange ActiveSync Policies Broker is a program that implements Exchange ActiveSync policies for the administrators of large organizations to manage the security of devices that can access Exchange mailboxes.

This issue can be resolved by configuring the UAC (User Account Control). Follow these steps:

    1. In the search bar, type
      Control Panel
      and press Enter.
    2. Click on User Accounts and again, click on
      User Accounts.
    3. Click on Change User Account Control settings.
    4. Provide password for the UAC prompt.
    5. Drag the box from Always Notify to Never Notify and click on OK.
    6. Provide password for the UAC prompt (if asked again).

Important: Turning off UAC reduces the security of your computer and may expose
you to increased risk from malicious software. We do not recommend leaving UAC disabled.

Let us know how it goes.
