Windows 10: Exiting screensaver problem Windows 10

Hello everyone,


Whenever my PC's display changes to the screensaver, in order to exit the screensaver and get back to i.e. an open tab, app etc... I have to press both the "Control" and "ESC" buttons simultaneously.


Is there an easier way of doing this, such as just tapping the "Space Bar", or something with my mouse?

Screensaver will not exit

Did as you suggested and it works like a dream. You can exit the "stuck" screensaver with "control alt delete" and click cancel. You will return to your desktop. Than you can go to Settings and do as above. Thanks

 

Screensaver will not exit

My screen saver is a slide show of photos from a folder on my computer.

Since the windows 10 update on April 16th, whenever my computer goes into screen saver mode, I am unable to exit the screensaver without putting my computer to sleep and then waking it up again. No amount of mouse clicking or button pushing will do anything.
I've tried the windows button and ctrl+alt+del and that does nothing.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.
