Windows 10: Explorer.exe - Class not registered/catastrophic failure

I've been having this problem ever since I completed a Windows Memory Diagnostic came back clean. Afterward I signed back and my desktop is cleared from my applications, I'm unable to access my file manager, and my taskbar is missing applications. When I try to click on the empty spaces on my taskbar, a pop-up from explorer.exe states "class not registered". I am able to access these applications through other means, but that's not the case with my file manager. At first when I tried to open it a pop-up from explorer.exe would state "catastrophic failure". Now when I try to open, no pop-up comes up, but it refuses to open. I attempted to download a file from the internet, but no pop-up came to name the file.


I have tried restarting, a system restore which was unable to be completed due to possible driver issues, and I tried to complete chkdsk, but it didn't seem to go through. I've tried looking online for solutions, but I can't seem to find any. Any help would be appreciated!

Scroll down to find “Internet Explorer ETW Collector Service” and ensure to have this service started and check if this helps.

class not registered

This is happening in Firefox. I am using windows 8.1 Everytime i try to open the store i get error message from Explorer. exe "Class not registered". Can someone help with a fix, PLEASE?
