Windows 10: Explorer.exe "The data area passed to a system call is too small" error message.

I'm receiving an issue when trying to open a file from a mapped drive. My organization has file servers for separate departments that staff can add as mapped drives to their workstations. Recently, some coworkers and I have been having an issue where we cannot open certain files from the mapped drive. We have attempted to open Word and Adobe files and are received by the message Explorer.EXE "The data area passed to a system call is too small". It seems others can open the these files while others can't. Any help on this issue would be great.

Error message was the title of my post - "The data area passed to a system call is too small" and as stated
cannot remove last update on windows 10 because windows 10 will not allow it..

 

Ubuntu causes Data area passed to a system call is too small

When trying to run the ubuntu exe I receive and error:

The data area passed to a system call is too small.

I have tried uninstalling ubuntu and reinstalling from the store but I am still getting this issue. Other store applications run fine.
