Windows 10: Explorer looses "show hidden files" setting

    Explorer looses "show hidden files" setting


    Hello

    It seems that each time I restart Windows it forgets that I have set the "Show hidden files" option in the explorer settings.

    Is this just a stupid bug that I have to live with (thanks, Microsoft) or is there a solution to it?

    blackjack 2, no media player

    I connected mine to the computer so I could explore the files a little bit easier. The "volatile" folder was a hidden file, so you may have to "show hidden files."

    where are win 10 mail files stored on the hard drive in win 10 creators edition

    I'm curious on this as well just haven't gotten around to asking other setting as well or the sort preference once i shut down it forgets everthing

    Some files might be corrupted, performing a maintenance could help. Run CMD as admin, copy/paste:

    chkdsk /scan
    fsutil usn deletejournal /d /n c:
    Dism /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    sfc /scannow
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
    winmgmt /salvagerepository
    cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & cleanmgr /sagerun:65535
