Windows 10: Extended screen double desktop icons

I have extended screens with icons on each screen some of the folder and shortcuts is doubles like Chrome and My PC.

When I'm unplugged the second screen all his icons moves to the laptop screen.

My question is if there is any way to save desktop for one screen and a desktops only when I have extended screens?

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

How to extend desktop across two screens on homegroup

I suggest you to refer to the below steps and check if it helps.

  Right-click the desktop, and select
  Properties or Personalize.

  Next select Display Settings from the list of
  preferences.
  
• 
  You should see icons with numbers representing your attached monitors. If one is disabled, it will be grayed out.

  Select the second monitor and choose to either
  extend your desktop or mirror your desktop.

  Your options may be dependent on the graphics card that you have
  installed.

  You may need to make these changes from within your
  control panel. If you have these installed, they can be found in your
  Start menu

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.
