  1. External hard drive causing windows problems

    Hi,

I need some help with my computer. It seems like my computer runs fine, restarts ok, and there are no problems, but every time I plug in my Seagate external hard drive, my computer refuses to shut down or restart, forcing me to press and hold the power button. My computer works fine with the external hard drive plugged in, however, it slowly stops working while the drive is plugged in. The taskbar stops working, then task manager stops working, and usually, everything else stops working as well.

How can I fix my hard drive/ computer so this stops happening?

    :)
