External ORICO USB 3.0 enclosure (2189U3) working on USB 2.0 and 3.1 ports but not in any...

As the title suggest I have an external enclosure ORICO USB 3.0 (model no. 2189U3) housing an OCZ ARC-100 SSD that will not work if plugged in any USB 3.0 port on my desktop Ryzen 2700X on my GIGABYTE AORUS X470 GAMING 7 WIFI motherboard.

Things that I identified so far about this issue:

    - the drive works perfectly while plugged in USB 3.0 on ANY other machine I have running windows 10, including all types of laptops and desktops.

    - the drive works normally if plugged on THIS particular machine in any USB 2.0 or USB 3.1 port.

    - I've tested all the USB 3.0 ports on the machine, including the ones in the back connected directly to the motherboard - it's not an issue with the front USB extensions.

    - other USB 3.0 (and 2.0) external drives I have tested (WD, Seagate, all mechanical in this particular instance) work fine in any of these 3.0 ports. So will flash drives.

    - In device manager the system correctly identifies the disk drive as "ATA OCZ-ARC100 SCSI Disk Drive". At storage controllers I can also find an "USB Attached SCSI (UAS) Mass Storage Device). They appear to work normally, there is no exclamation marks or anything to their icons. Attempting to reinstall drivers for any of these two will not yield any results. Nor for "AMD USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller".

    - if I keep the device manager open for about 30 seconds after inserting the drive I can observe it refreshing a bunch of times at a few seconds interval. I will find in the "Human Interface Devices" tab that initially a bunch of EXISTING "HID-compliant consumer control device", "HID-compliant system controller" and "HID-compliant vendor defined device" will take turns at "gaining" that yellow triangle with exclamation mark while windows is doing... SOMETHING. But they will all eventually become normal again. While this happens other USB devices (like mouse and keyboard) will be temporarily affected.

    - the icon to "safely remove" devices will appear on the taskbar and will work (showing the device correctly identified that is) immediately after plugin in the drive. After quite a while (surely after whatever happens in Device Manager stops) it will just stop working.

    - if I keep the drive on long enough for this song and dance a strange "Local Disk (FExternal ORICO USB 3.0 enclosure (2189U3) working on USB 2.0 and 3.1 ports but not in any... :)" will eventually appear on the drive list in This PC. However it's not a valid drive and if I try interacting with it the window will hang and become unresponsive.

    - Disk Management will not work while the drive is plugged in. It will will forever show nothing but the "Connecting to Virtual Disk Service..." in the status bar.

    - the computer will NOT boot with the drive plugged in.

The only good thing at this point is that I have the option of just using USB 3.1 for this particular drive, but it's inconvenient and ridiculous at the same time. Any ideas on how to attack this are appreciated. Thanks.

    :)

    What's the external HDD model?
From my personal experience I can tell that some USB storage devices have crappy/unreliable controllers (AsMedia being one of them). Had at least 5 flash drives and 2 enclosures that all of a sudden stopped working on USB3.0 bus (not even recognized), but work just fine on USB2.0.

What you need to do, is the following:
    1) stick a keyboard or mouse into presumably-non-working port to check if it's recognizing other devices
    2) If it works, then most likely ports are OK. Check if it's going to recognize something like a USB3.0 flash drive.
    3) Stick that ext.HDD into USB2.0 port to check if it works. If it does, then you have the same problem as I do.

If you were trying to connect it to a front panel USB, then it's also worth checking the cable inside your case. That stupid thing is so stiff, that sometimes it manages to wiggle itself out of the header and mess with USB connection.

Internal USB 3.0 to external USB 3.0

Not sure where to post this....
I have a case that has 1 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 ports, a motherboard that only has external USB 3.0 support, and girls in my house that will not understand that only the USB 2.0 port works. So, I'm looking for a way to run a connector from the internal 3.0 connector from the case, out the back and plug into the 2 3.0 on the back I/O panel. I have found some on e-bay, but they are coming from China and I can't seem to find the right length that would look good as well.
    Suggestions?
Case is a white Nanoxia Deep Silence 4 (has water cooling ports to run cables through)
Motherboard is an Intel DH67GD (has 14 USB 2.0 ports!)
