Windows 10: EXTREMELY SLOW BOOT (cold and restart) X mybe 1 or 2 weeks?

Hi!

For 2 or so weeks, this PC (Dell) is TAKING increasingly longer and longer times to boot (Cold and reboot)


Dell PC (XPS 8910) Windows 10 home; McAfee (LiveSafe - No idea what version) Updated Fall 2018);

I've stopped the MS updates as they have (without fail) caused problems.


I would REALLY appreciate any advice! I can't decipher the task manager information which would possibly help troubleshooting.

Dual Booting 2 x Windows 10 OS Drives (Existing Installs)


It is uneccessary to do all of the above.

1. Boot up Windows 10
2. Open Disk Management and take a note of the drive letter of the other Windows 10
3. Open Admin Command Prompt and type: bcdboot X:\Windows where X is the drive letter noted in step 2
4. Reboot, you should have a dual boot menu.

 

Windows 8.1 Pro Slow When Restarting But Cold Boot Is Fast

Try the following troubleshooting steps:

Step 1: Disable Fast Startup and check if it works for you.

Fast startup is a new feature in Windows to help your PC start up faster after shutting down. When turned on, Windows does this by using a hybrid shutdown (a partial hibernate) method that saves only the kernel session and device drivers (system
information) to hibernate (hiberfil.sys) file on disk instead of closing it when you shut down your PC.

Steps:

1. Press Windows + X key and click Control Panel.
2. Click on Power options.
3. Click on Choose what the power buttons do.
4. Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable. If it prompts to click on yes, then click Yes.
5. Uncheck Turn on fast startup (Recommended) under shutdown settings.
6. Click Save changes to configure the settings.

N72 working extremely slow

Hi.

I'm using an N72.

1. For past few weeks it has become extremely slow. Most of the times it just hangs for some 10-15 seconds before it becomes operational.

2. Also at times it stops reflecting any new dialed, missed, received calls status. I need to restart the phone before it again remembers the same.

I have around 8MB free in the phone memory and about 20MB free in the memory card.

Plz suggest some way as im facing a big problem because of this.
