Windows 10: eye sight problems

hi, i am wondering if you can tell me how to make the text bigger in windows 10, and also the web browser.I have eye sight problems along with double vision, the smaller text blurs into each other, so i need to enlarge the text big enough so i can see the spacing between each letter.Thanks for looking and best wishes Paul

Thank you kindly Frederik. That is exactly what I wanted.

I changed the Windows string in both of your suggestions from 255 255 255 to 178 178 178. And now I can work in Excel all day without eye strain.

You must reboot though for these settings to take effect.

Bad Eye Sight Problem

I am a senior citizen that works in Windows all day. The default setting of blinding white for most Windows objects causes me to stop working to rest my eyes several times a day.

I have a "specific" technical question that all my research on Display Settings in Windows 10 has not been able to answer.

Before Windows 8 under Window Color And Appearance, under Item, by selecting Active Window Background, you could change the color from the blinding white default RBG setting of 255 255 255 to something easier on the eyes. This changed a string somewhere
in the Registry.

Since Windows 8, there is no similar setting, but that RGB string of 255 255 255 is still in the Registry somewhere.

Can anybody please tell me where that string is so I can manually change it?
