Windows 10: F7 and F9 key not working

Hello, everyone! After installing the new update my F7 and F9 keys stopped working on Huawei Matebook 13. I've tried pressing the Fn key and then F7/9, but nothing happened. Although not related to Windows but maybe someone tells me if this is realted to the update, another issue I've encountered was the fact that my fingerprint sensor stopped working, saying that something went wrong on their end. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

F7, F9 and F10 aren't working!

I have a problem. My keys F7, F9 and F10 stopped working. I can't control my microphone from F7, can't control my WI-FI from F9 and can't open PC Manager from F10. Any ideeas what can I do with them?

If pressing the function key (F7- F9) does not work on its own, if you press the Fn key + F7, or F8 or F9 does that produce the requited action?

If so, boot your laptop into BIOS and in there look for a Media Keys/Function keys setting and toggle that setting

Or. f your press the Fn key +Esc key, does that toggle the need for the Fn key to be pressed?

 

F9 key not working

Let us go ahead and perform the methods below accordingly to help you resolve your issue with using the F9 Key function on your PC:

• Press Windows key + W then type “Turn On-screen keyboard on or off”
  and hit Enter.
• Click on “Start On-screen keyboard”.
• On the bottom left hand side of the keyboard, click on Fn keys and check if it works.

If you still experience toggling F9 key on your end, we suggest that you follow the instructions below:

Method 1:

• Type Troubleshooting in the Search box and hit Enter.
• Select Hardware and Sound from the Troubleshooter Window.
• Choose Configure a Device and follow the On-screen guide.

Method 2:

• Press Windows key + X and click on Control Panel.
• Click on Mouse and on the Device Settings tab of the
  Mouse Properties screen, click the Disable button to turn of the
  Touchpad.
• Restart the laptop/PC and Enable.
