Windows 10: Facebook Messenger App sound not working in windows 10

Hello Everyone


I have the default Messenger app on windows 10.


The page - contacts - sending written messages is all fine.


But when it comes to make and/or receive a call - I get a small icon showing the pic of who I'm call - so camera's working fine but no sound.


When I click to expand to full screen - I get a message saying to check my sound settings. When I do that - I go to the settings pages & click on the sound settings - but don't know what to adjust/change on there. In the meantime my call has failed & I get cut off.


Can someone help please?


I'm using the Dell Studio17 laptop - on my ipad it's all working correctly - so when I get a call - I transfer to that.

Windows 10 Facebook & Messenger Apps


Hi All

Just touching base on Windows 10 Facebook & Messenger Apps. They still aren't working on my end. Even after the latest update. Which was Sat 15/10/ 2016.

Any suggestions & ideas, would be appreciated. Thankyou.

While Facebook first announced at Microsoft’s Windows 10 Devices event in October that it was working on Universal Windows 10 apps for Facebook, Facebook Messenger and Instagram, the social network has yet to deliver all the goodies to all enthusiast Windows 10 fans. Last month, we obtained some leaked images of the new Facebook Messenger app for Windows 10, which is still in closed beta, but today we were able to download and install the app without being in the beta. Others have not been able to access it yet, however.

We were able to successfully download the app on one of our Windows 10 PCs and we just spent some time playing with it. Long story short, it feels very much like the Instagram beta app on Windows 10 Mobile which is nothing more than an iOS port. In our brief testing with the Facebook Messenger app on Windows 10, we saw that the app uses an adaptable layout and all the features (including notifications) worked reliably. It seems that the only big feature missing here but available on the iOS and Android apps are voice and video calls. Otherwise, it’s a pretty good experience overall. Uninstalled Facebook & Messenger App.

This 2 apps doesnt work on Windows 10 Anniversary edition
I did almost everythng, reset Windows Store cache, reset SID user cache, reset app, everything...this 2 apps DOESN'T WORK

Today facebook release and update...and nothing.

It seems the devs doesn't even know their apps aren't working...I can't believe it, but its true.

(There are a lot of comments on facebook help page, nobody knows the answer, nobody with windows 10 anniversary edition is able to start facebook or messenger apps.
