  2. wdf01000.sys and ntoskrnl.exe BSOD

    I'm on Windows 10, 64bit

Basically, whenever I try to update my LPC controller through Device Manager, BSOD with WDF_VIOLATION occurs (culprit being wdf01000.sys)

So I try to use the driver verifier to see which driver is causing the BSOD, but then it causes BSOD (cultprit being ntoskrnl.exe)

Have no idea which driver is causing them

    Please help!

Here are my list of drivers and system info: Documents

    Windows 10 1709 blue screens

Sorry for the delay. From the dump file it looks like the issue is related to Dell NIC (Ndis.sys) and to some system file corruption (wdf01000.sys).

Are you able to access your computer or do you receive BSOD before login?

Facing BSOD Wdf01000.sys whenever i try to do something on Sony Vegas

First off, you're still using build 9926. Build 10074 was released recently. Please update.

BIOS/UEFI dates from 2014, check at the manufacturer's website (NOT with the update tool - actually visit the website and check manually) for a later version. At work we have found that the updater doesn't always identify the latest version.

F: drive only has about 1% free space. Windows likes 15% free space in order to perform stuff "behind the scenes" without adversely affecting the system's performance. Please free up 15% on ALL hard drives (you can get away with 10% on larger drives and won't notice a large performance penalty)

You have 3 hard drives. What is the make/model/wattage and age of your Power Supply?

Lot's of Windows Updates failures in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report. If the problems continue, please post over in the Windows Updates Activation - Windows 8 Forums for further expert assistance with this issue.

Several hardware I/O errors in the WER section of MSINFO32 - most point to a hardware problem with a hard disk (mostly from February of 2015 - so you may have replaced the drive already). Please start with these free hard drive diagnostics: Hard Drive Diagnostic Procedure If all the platter based HDD's pass, then we'll have to suspect a problem with an SSD. If you detect a problem with a hard drive, disconnect it completely and see if the BSOD's stop.

Please uninstall Riva Tuner - it's known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (MSI Afterburner and EVGA Precision also use the same driver - so don't install them).

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking. Finally, as the memory dumps blame the USB drivers (and also the Wdf01000.sys driver), I'd suggest running Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings
Please also select the Wdf01000.sys driver (in addition to the drivers that the instructions specifies).

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
