Windows 10: Facing issues related to .net framework after updating to 2004

I bought a new laptop which comes with Windows 10 pre-installed. I was able to use my fingerprint earlier but after 2004 update, sometimes it doesn't work and I have to go back to type in password. Similarly I tried to install an app. Installation was interrupted with a dialogue box saying to install .net framework 2 and above. When checked, I have .net framework 4.8 already installed. Don't know what issue is this. Someone help me.

Getting .NET Framework error

This issue might be caused due to outdated drivers or Software.

In order to assist you better, I would suggest you to answer the below questions.

• Did you make any changes prior to the issue?
• Since from when are you facing this issue?
• Are you facing this issue when you login or when you open any application?

I would suggest you to update the software related to .NET Framework by Windows Updates and check if the issue persists.

• Press start button and type Windows update
  and select it.
• Click on Check for updates and install all the pending updates including the .NET Framework.

.NET Framework 1.0 updates install every day

Hi,

I appreciate your interest on windows 10.

The issue might occur if there is any corruption during windows update.I will certainly help you with the issue.

I suggest you to follow the methods below:

Method 1 I suggest you to run Windows Update Troubleshooter.

Follow the below steps:

Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on windows update.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2 I also suggest you to uncheck the
.NET Framework 1.0 and restart the computer and check if issue persists,

Please follow the steps below:

• 
  Right click on start menu and click on programs and features.
  
• 
  Click Turn windows features on or off.
  
• 
  Uncheck .NET Framework 1.0 and .NET Framework services.
  
• 
  Click on ok.
  

Once, you have unchecked these, Please restart your computer and recheck
the .NET Framework 1.0 and .NET Framework services andcheck.
