  1. Factory Reset Sketchy Behavior

I factory reset my PC every few months and this time was very different from what usually happens.

What usually happens is that everything, all the settings and updates and etc default back to their original factory settings. No brainer.

Well, this time the reset keeps the latest Win 10 updates (3 of them which won't roll back or uninstall).

Plus now when I do a standard update through settings ----> security ----> check for updates the updates download and install but nothing changes on my pc.

Usually when there's an update the desktop background and lockscreen photos change to the newest Win 10 images.

Not anymore, the old factory default photo stays on both desktop and lockscreen even after restarts.

I have a suspicion that some surveillance/malware got downloaded onto my pc and it is preventing a normal factory reset but i am not sure where to even start looking for it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance
