  1. Factory reset Windows 10 button not appearing

Hello so over the past few months I've been trying to update my pc but everytime it updates, I always get a message about updates failing to install along with either the error codes: 0x80240034, 0x80070002, or 0x80070643.

I've tried everything at this point from cleaning my partition, using a ethernet connection, to using the windows update assistant but nothing seems to be working. Now I want to bite the bullet and reset my PC. However when I go into the update and security tab to reset it, it will restart my computer, but instead of the "continue" button being present, I'm only seeing the "troubleshoot" and "turn off your pc".

Am I missing somthing? I've even elected to have all of my files removed from my computer including my personal files, but I still run into the same issue.

What's the best solution to this problem? I don't know if that part of my system has corrupt files that's preventing me from being able to reset my computer or update it.

    Factory reset button not appearing.

I have a HP Envy that I unfortunately updated to windows 10. It has only been problem after problem since, and it has been 30 days since I updated. I tried using the windows 8 media creation tool, which proceeded to bluescreen my computer until it decided
to reboot to a previous version- a.k.a windows 10.

Then, after following steps to factory reset, the button isn't there- only keep my files, and remove everything.

If I can't figure this out, I'm going to have to buy a new computer, seeing as this thing is practically bricked from windows 10.

    Windows 10 factory reset

    Hi Charlie,

We can see here that you are having issues with doing a factory reset on your Windows 10. There are several factors
why you get the said error and that's what we are going to figure out. To isolate this concern, may we know the following:

    • Any changes made on the computer prior to this concern?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • May we know the reason why you want to perform a factory reset?
    • Did you experience any issues on the computer before you tried performing a factory reset?
