  1. Factory Resetting Windows 10 laptop for over 24 hours

    Hello!

I have been factory resetting my laptop, but it has taken about 26 hours so far. It has been stuck on 68% for about 14 hours.

Everything was already backed up onto an external drive, so losing files is not an issue as I told windows to clean the drives too.

I assume it shouldn't be taking nearly this long, and was wondering what I should do?

    :)

    Hi Sandra,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

To change the time format from 12 hour to 24 hour in Windows 10.

    Follow the steps:

    • Navigate to Control panel.
    • In the category view of the control panel, click on the
‘Change date, time, or number formats’.
    • Change the short time to HH:mm from the drop down.
    • Press Apply to make the changes.
    • Now your time format will change to 24 hour format.

    Windows 10 Factory Reset Failed

Thank you for your response DaveM121

No, nothing else is connected to my laptop at all. I attempted the factory reset through the command prompt because it would fail (several times) by using the steps you're suggesting. It began the process and I waited at least 4 hours for it to slowly reach
a higher percentage (it got to more than 80%) and when I looked at the laptop again, there was a failure message.
