  1. Faded Text in Windows 10

A couple times a month Windows 10 fades all the text in every application to the point where it is unreadable. After looking on Win10 forums, I found the Clear Text function, and that helps to a point - the text is still terrible, but at least readable. I'll usually reboot a couple times and make sure virus definitions are up to date and scan. The next day, the text is usually back to normal.

What can I do to block this from happening in the first place? And if it can't be blocked, is there anything I can do to completely restore the text the same day?

    Thanks!

    :)

  2. Faded text on start screen and apps.

    Hi Andy,

Thank you for posting back with the details.

I suggest that you launch the ClearType text tuner and adjust the display.

To run this command please refer the following TechNet article and follow the suggestions.

    • To get to the ClearType take an entry to the
Control Panel and select the Display option.
    • On the right pane of the Display window click on
      Adjust ClearType Text link.
    • A ClearType Text Tuner window will appear on your screen. Select the
checkbox Turn on ClearType and click
Next button to go to the next step
    • After turning on the ClearType
Text Tuner, you will see five windows exhibiting the samples of the text that you wish to set.
    • So click Next on the following five sample windows by selecting your required text type.

Hope this will help you. Keep us posted with the status of the issue to assist you further.

    Thank you.

    Faded Text in Windows 10

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
