Windows 10: Faded white/grey line on the bottom of my monitor screen

It's shown closer to my right corner compared to the rest of the line that is less seeable.It's not completely white nor grey, and is mostly seeable with the length of a pencil.I tried some stuff and managed to figure out that the issue most likely comes from my monitor directly.I was simply wondering, how could this happen, could I potentially fix it?Screen is about 6 years old if I recall corectly.Could it be the heat or something?

Horizontal lines covering monitor screen

Hi all, I was using my PC when spontaneously thin blacked out horizontal lines appeared covering my entire monitor screen. Also when I touch my cursor to the bottom of my monitor screen the white from it covers the entire height of the monitor fading slightly by the time it reaches the top. I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the monitor itself or maybe the graphics card or if there’s a fix for it Help would be very much appreciated

Thank you for answering. The lines are fine grey lines - some vertical and mostly horizontal covering the entire screen. They last for several seconds but have been lasting longer each time they appear.

It is on a laptop, I have gone to device manager and found the monitor listed and updated, but it said I had the most current version of the driver. What else should I do, that has not helped?

Fading lines on the monitor, fading from left to right. A themes setting?

Just to put an end to this thread, I replaced my monitor and the fading lines went away. Thanks for the assistance.
