Windows 10: Fail to Activate Windows 10 1903

Dear Microsoft,


I've got a laptop years ago with Windows 8.1 Core preinstalled, then upgraded onto Windows 10 Home 1607 successfully. Yesterday I formatted the entire hard drive with installing Windows 10 1903 Home refreshly! After successfully installed, it refused to activate! Then I formatted the entire hard drive again, and made a clean installation of Windows 10 1809 Home, it activited itself automatically and successfully! Hours ago, I did the same jobs again, formatted and installed, the Windows 10 1903 Home just refused and refuses to activate on my laptop! I find it very strange, and wonder what it goes wrong with my laptop or this Windows 10 1903. My laptop is an Core i3-5000U series based one, is it limited by the processor, and wants me to purchase additional licence to run this latest version of Windows 10?

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Mine finally did although it was about 6 or so hours after as it was saying failed to activate.
