The drivers hive is also corrupt and therefore cannot be loaded with Restorehealth for repairs.

You could take the drivers hive from your parallel installation and replace the defective drivers hive to test.

Backup beforehand the defective drivers hive.

As to drivers- it's likely there will be more than are associated with devices listed by Device Manager.

If you now have a setuperr.log, see that first.

What led to your staying with that build? Did you choose to do that, or simply not realise you were not receiving updates?

 

Drivers won't update, errors 0x800703f1 and 0x80070002

I have about 20 drivers that need updating. Windows version 18363. The updates download but fail to install. All report error 0x80070002 or 0x800703f1.

I've tried:

• Clearing the download files and restarting the update service.
• Running the troubleshooter
• sfc /scannow
• dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, which seemed to hang after the scan.
• perfmon /report, which shows that one service is crashing
• Using the Device Manager to install individual drivers
• Various other remedies proposed; I googled the error codes and followed up...
