Windows 10: Failed to install KB5012170 error 0x800f0922

My Dell computer tries to install this update everyday since Aug 9. Dell is no help as the pc is out of warranty and has old bios. How can I turn off / bypass this update failure until MS fixes?

Run the .bat file as instructed but did not solve the issue.




I will now try the Windows Installation Media and see if that helps.

Issue resolved by creating Windows 10 installation media





and installing Windows 10

Is the Update bothering you? If not then just ignore it and it will eventually get installed. If it's bothering you then you can try installing it from Updates catalog here:
