Windows 10: Failed update: 2024-01 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based...

I have tried numerous times to get the following update done, but it always fails and then removes all the changes from my computer. Is this update necessary?I installed Windows 11 a few weeks ago over a Windows 10 platform. 2024-01 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems KB5034204Nona *** Email address is removed for privacy *** 926-1334

2024-01 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version update error

I have been trying to update 2024-01 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034204), but whenever I try to download and install, I am getting the following error Install error - 0x80070002

The same here! I also got the update from version 22H2 to 23H2 somehow, but the installation of "2024-01 Kumulatives Update für Windows 11 Version 23H2 für x64-basierte Systeme (KB5034204)" also failed multiple times with the same failure-code 0x800f0922. My update has the same number but isn't named "Preview"?

The tool "wushowhide.diagcab" doesn't show me this update, so I also can't hide it.

I also paused my windows updates and will try it again next week after the patch-day.

On windows 11 Pro version 23H2 OS Builds 22631.3007 i have some update that won't install whatever i do.

On windows site it says is for: OS Builds 22621.3085 and 22631.3085 and mine is OS Builds 22631.3007

I don't know if it matters.

I tried:

-updated the graphics driver

-disabled the antivirus

-ran windows update troubleshooter

-installing it manually from Microsoft Update Catalog

-installing it in safe mode

-tried to repair corrupted system files and ran in the cmd prompt the following commands: sfc / scannow, Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth, Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth, Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. Got no issues

I tried hiding it from powershell but it doesn't even appear when i try to find it with Get-WindowsUpdate command...sry if what i say is not exactly in the corect technical terms but i don't know how to explain it otherwise

It keeps asking me to install it and then Windows restarts and the error message ‘something didn’t go as planned. No need to worry...’. And then again and again. I only get error code "0x800f0922"

Somewhere in the process of installing updates these last 2 days my windows updated from version 22H2 to version 23H2. I also did a Disk Cleanup right before installing some updates 2 days ago when i had version 22H2. Maybe i generated this problem by doing that.

The funny thing is that in my update history it shows that it's installed and also failed the installation:

I paused my windows updates, i don't know what else to do. Just before i paused my updates it was still pending to download and install the update.
