Windows 10: failed Windows update error 0x80246013:

I have been getting an error for the past few weeks at least as follows: Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80246013: Lenovo - System - 2/12/2019 12:00:00 AM - 10.0.88.0.


What is this and how do I fix it?

Kb3093266 won't install, i get errors 0x80246013 and 0x80070456.

Original Title: KB3093266 won't install.

KB3093266 won't install, I have tried the following suggestions.

1) Manual download and install. Failed.

2) Ran update troubleshooter, windows update components repaired. Failed

3) Ran clean boot procedure. Failed

All with same problem of installing, restarting until 52%, then Fail and backing out. KB3081448 was installed successfully on 8/29/2015

I have gotten errors 0x80246013 and 0x80070456 when installing KB3093266, but no failure code on clean boot that I could see.

I did run one suggestion of running wushowhide to hide update, but am worried about future updates and the implications of this update being a prerequisite of future updates if it is left hidden.

The next step would be appreciated.

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
