Windows 10: Failing to install Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64 based Systems

I am using an Asus laptop with pre-installed Windows 10. For the past 2 months the installation for Windows cumulative update has been failing.

It shows that the updates are downloaded and that it requires a pending restart, but upon doing so, when the laptop restarts it shows

' Downloading Updates, Don't Turn off the Pc', after which the percentage goes to a 100% and then it shows that it failed to install the updates and that it is reverting back the changes. This has been happening continuously for past 2 months.

It has been failing to install the following updates.

2018-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64 based Systems (KB4464218)

2018-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64 based Systems (KB4462919)

The update history shows a code '0xe0000100'

I also tried to trouble shoot using Windows Update Troubleshooter but it shows

Windows Update Components need to be repaired and it also shows as 'Not Fixed'

What should I do so that this issue can be resolved?

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

V 10.0 build 10240

2018-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4343909) continues to fail to install

2018-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4343909) has continually failed to install, the system won't let me check to uninstall previous updates to allow this to install, downloads the update but fails to initialise
