Windows 10: Fall Creator Update Query

A couple of weeks ago I installed the Fall Creator Update.All installed well,but when I booted up all my Start Menu items were missing,also my about half my Desktop Icons had gone.so I reverted back to build 1703. have Microsoft sorted these things out,i am a bit unsure if I want to try the update again.Thanks.

Just one query . Will the Fall Creators Update include the original Creators Update (with fixes) so would I waste my time by installing the original Creators Update then subsequently he Fall Creators Update?

I've upgraded multiple versions of Windows and everything has been good for me so far.

 

I have upgraded for 1703 to 1709 without any problem.

Masterchiefxx17 thank you,i downloaded and installed the update this morning.the only thing I can see different is when I used to sign into web sites build 1703 used to ask if I wanted windows to remember the password,in this build it does not ask,everything else seems to be working okay.Cheers

 

That might be a problem with your browser. Are you using Edge or another web browser?

 

Use Chrome, it always asks you if you want it to save the password, it`s very handy.

 

Masterchiefxx17 and AddRAM i am using Edge.it always remembered passwords before the Creator Update.i might give Chrome a go,its a bit of a pain to keep putting passwords in,Cheers

 

Install Chrome and add a theme, I just use black. You`ll never use another browser again *Smile

But check Edges settings, maybe the update set it back to defaults. I wouldn't know, I don't use it or Internet Explorer, too ugly looking for my taste.

 

AddRAM i went into settings and Offer To Save Passwords was switched off,so i switched it on on now it asks if i want to remember password.great stuff back to what it used to be.Many Thanks

Ya that`s something you`ll have to look into after each W10 version update.

That`s why I don`t deal with Windows browsers.
