Windows 10: Family Safety not Working for all accounts

Discus and support Family Safety not Working for all accounts in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; I have set the Family Safety Settings for both my child accounts with time limits as well what apps they can use during the allowed time.     Family Safety not Working for all accounts


    I have set the Family Safety Settings for both my child accounts with time limits as well what apps they can use during the allowed time. Once One Child logs in the other time limits are also consumed, I saw now user specific services are running while this is happening.


    OS :

    Edition Windows 10 Pro

    Version 20H2

    Installed on ‎9/‎12/‎2020

    OS build 19042.804

    Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0




    How do I resolve this issue?

    Hello,

    Apologize for the delay in response.

    If you had previously set up family features for a child account and then upgraded to Windows 10 , there are a few steps you need to take to turn on family settings again.

    I would suggest you to refer to the following suggestions provided by Smittychat replied on January 4, 2016 and check if it helps.

    Before we proceed, we require more information to assist you better.

    • Which web browser are you using?
    • Are the settings on the Family Safety options on your computer are the same with the one on
      http://familysafety.live.com?


    I suggest you to login with your parental account and check if you are able to manage the family settings.



    If the issue still persist, it might appears that the Child account is not configure correctly. I suggest you to remove the Family Safety and configure it again.

    Now, setup Family Safety.

    After creating the child account, you can then go to the Family Safety website, login using the parent account and then manage your child's restrictions and monitoring options.

    Windows 10 Family Safety time limits not working

    I had this exact problem and these are the steps I took to get the issue resolved:

    • Navigate to family safety settings and remove the child from the family having issues.
    • Login to the childs account and launch Settings (windows key + i)
    • Click the Accounts icon and select Sign in with local account instead
    • Follow the steps to change to a local account. When completed, Login back to your account (admin account)
    • Go back to the family safety settings and add your child back to the family group.
    • Access your childs email address to accept the family invitation
    • Verify the child now shows properly in the family settings and that the screen times are still correct.
    • Login to the childs account and launch Settings (windows key + i)
    • Click the Accounts icon and select Sign in with microsoft account instead
    • Your family settings should now take affect.

    I know this is pretty tedious, but like I said, it worked for me. If you are still having trouble, I suggest contacting support and they can help walk you through the steps to get it resolved.
